Μedia and aggression

A new study published in February 2013 in the  Pediatrics journal, raises the question if the modification of  the  media content can  change children’s behaviour. Although previous studies have revealed that there was a connection between aggression and   violent screen content, this survey is examining the reduction of aggression by modifying the media content.

The method followed was the substitution of aggressive media content with high quality prosocial and educational content. The results were derived from the  Social Competence and Behavior Evaluation and were very  positive.
