Advice to the parents of the child who bullies

If you are informed that your child bullies other children do not panic, but also do not rush into denying the event or justifying it. This is something that doesn’t help your child and you have to put an end to it.

1. Notice the behavior of your child. See the way he reacts in different situations.
2. Notice your own behavior. The way we express ourselves when talking on the phone, while watching TV.
3. Remember that our children copy our behavior
4. Explain to the child the types of behavior that preoccupies you. Comment on the type of behavior and not the child.
5. Explain to your child that everybody has the right to be different.
6. Communicate to him how the other children feel.
7. Discuss about it with the teacher
8. Point out to him the positive elements of his personality
9. Tell him you love him
10. Call National Helpline for Children SOS 1056, with no charge and anonymously, to talk to a psychologist
